We could tell you how rewarding and unique working in care is, but we thought we’d ask our carer Chrissy to share her experience instead.
“Being a carer is like nothing else I’ve ever experienced. I originally thought that care would be a good stopgap job. That was 18 years ago, and I’m still doing it. You end up loving each and every client as though they’re family. You get on their rollercoaster with them, you experience their highs and lows, you cry with them, you laugh with them. If I had loved ones who needed care then that’s exactly what I’d want for my family.”
